VANS SHOES: A SAFE VALUE FOR MORE THAN 50 YEARS
Since 1966, Vans has been well established in the world of skateboarding. From the early 70s, the company was already adored by American skateboarders. Finally, 50 years later, the brand has become the brand that we know today and that makes rain and shine among skateboard fans.
At Homies, we really like this brand that has been on our shelves for quite some time. Our store is one of the shops that are lucky enough to have access to the collection VANS SKATE CLASSIC.
Although proven in the world of the board, Vans shoes does not stop there! They have decided, in 2021, to review their entire range of skate shoes.
BUT FIRST OF ALL, WHAT EXACTLY IS THE VANS SKATE CLASSIC RANGE?
Basically, this collection includes all models of Vans shoes that are designed for skateboarding. It's gel insoles and tougher materials.
That's all well and good, but for Vans, it wasn't enough: the shoes have been redesigned at all levels, be it aesthetics, comfort or even durability. Everything was created with skateboarders in mind.
This new “program” was launched on March 4, 2021. So it is quite recent and we are sure that it will not be long before everyone appreciates this initiative from Vans.
VANS HAS FURTHER INNOVATED WITH ITS NEW SICKSTICKTM SOLE, WHICH IS MORE DURABLE WHILE OFFERING EXCEPTIONAL GRIP. ALL SKATEBOARDS KNOW THAT THERE'S NOTHING BETTER THAN A SKATE THAT STICKS UNDER THE FEET (AND A SOLE THAT WILL NOT DRILL IN TWO SESSIONS…)!
In addition, there is always the DURACAPTM, this membrane present inside the shoe and which offers unequaled resistance which increases its lifespan.
In short, we could still talk a long time about the durability of Vans, but we leave you an overview of other Vans technologies right here!
No matter how you skate, you'll find the best shoe for you with their multiple constructions available.
UltimateWaffleTM is a sole that combines grip, impact absorption, support and flexibility. It's a sole that offers just about everything one could want from such a thing.
WaffleControl is the thinner sole that allows you to feel your board well under your feet while offering good support and maximizing grip: smaller does not mean less good!
Pro Vulc Lite is a lighter version of classic constructions. It's a kind of unique coating of the sole that allows an unparalleled feeling of the board while being flexible, in addition to providing the grip you need to really freak out your stuff.
We must not forget the insoles that have been all the rage at Vans for several years.
The UltraCushTM soles, which have a more than moderate weight, offer good impact protection while redistributing energy and allowing an excellent board feel.
The UltraCushTM 3D shares all these qualities, in addition to offering even more pronounced foot support.
As a finishing touch, Vans have sprinkled the new Skate Classic range with small details that aim to elevate this already iconic skate shoe collection. For example, they replaced the red Vans tag on the side of the shoe. Now we will be able to see a new checkerboard label instead of red. The inner heel has also been plated with checks.
No need to look inside the shoe if you can see the word "pro" on the sole, you can now tell at first glance if it's a Skate Classic model!
