DAKINE ACCESSORIES - Homies Shop

This week, we want to take a tour and introduce you to the Dakine accessories we have in store. For what? Quite simply because their range of winter accessories is perfect for anyone who loves playing outside. We have everything you need to make your life easier during your snowboarding days, whether in the mountains or in splits.

First, what is Dakine?

Dakine is a company founded in 1979, in Hawaii. The company is now located at the foot of Mount Hood, Oregon. Dakine makes backpacks, travel bags, accessories, winter clothing and lots of other stuff like that. The brand aims to offer good products for snowboarding, skateboarding, traveling and ATV and snowmobile enthusiasts.

At Homies Boutiques, Dakine is synonymous with perfect winter accessories for snowboard enthusiasts!

BOOT BAGS

The first products we're showing you today are the famous Dakine boot bags. At Homies, we have three of their models in store.

Boot Locker 69L

The Boot Locker is the simplest solution for keeping all your equipment in one place, ready to go at any time. This 69 liter volume bag offers plenty of space on top to store jackets, pants, extra layers, mittens or gloves, spare socks, helmet and glasses. The bottom part is lined with a tarpaulin and is ideal for keeping your boots warm and dry during the trip to the mountain, and also separates them from the rest on the way back when your boots are full of snow !

Boot Pack 50L

The Boot Pack is a type of backpack that has several spacious pockets, ideal for organizing and protecting your equipment during transport. For example, the pocket dedicated to the helmet and glasses is padded to protect them against impacts and scratches. The front cargo pocket is perfect for storing gloves and mittens, extra layers and that sort of thing. Finally, the shoe compartment stores snowboard boots separately from the rest, with easy access thanks to the zippered rear access panel. All for easy transport.

Boot Locker DLX 70L

The Boot Locker DLX is a happy mix between the two models mentioned above. It includes a dedicated helmet and goggle pocket, a separate compartment for other clothing and a tarpaulin-lined pocket for boots. The volume of 70 liters allows you to carry everything you need, regardless of variable conditions, and efficiently.

OFF-TRAIL BACKPACKS

If you're the type to go on a splitboard rather than going to the mountains or even going up slopes on snowshoes to come back down on a snowboard, you need an off-piste bag. Here are some Dakine models available in store.

Heli Pro 24L

Neither too big nor too small, the Heli Pro 24L is one of the best backcountry bags. It includes pockets specially designed for snow tools, like the shovel and snow probe for those on big outings. It also includes a large fleece-lined pocket specifically for glasses and a hydration pouch. In short, this bag is just the right size to have everything you need during your outings.

Nice feature: the Heli Pro bag has a main zippered access on the back panel, perfect for accessing your bag if you're snowshoeing and your snowboard is attached to the front of your bag, and ideal for being able to open your bag without place the bottom in the snow before putting it back on your back!

Mission Pro 25L

The Mission Pro bag offers approximately the same type of storage as the Heli Pro: a pocket dedicated to the shovel and probe, a main compartment to put your layers of clothing and your split skins and a special padded pocket for your glasses. The 25 liter volume is perfect for day trips in the backcountry. The Mission Pro is also offered in 32L, with the Team Mission Pro 32L model from Louif Paradis, our team rider!

Interesting feature: the Mission Pro 25L offers vertical transport of snowboards, therefore perfect for walking between trees when you are snowshoeing with the bag on your back, but also allows horizontal transport, for those who drag their boards during snowmobile outings. This way, you can drag your snowboard and still sit on your sled!

SNOWBOARD BAGS

Snowboard bags are the perfect bags for carrying your board when you want it to be safe and tidy.

Freestyle Snowboard Bag

The Dakine Freestyle board bag is the perfect bag to carry your board if you want to protect it from knocks and scratches when you head to the mountain. The bag is also lined with a tarp to control snow and water on the way back. This is the bag made for station users.

Low Roller Bag

The Low Roller is the bag you want for a weekend in another mountain and even for a week-long trip elsewhere in the world. This bag is padded 360 degrees and can easily hold a board with bindings, outerwear, all your snowboarding essentials (mittens, socks, etc.) and even contains a removable shoe bag to put your boots and separate them from the rest. Finally, the sturdy urethane wheels allow for easy gliding through airports and parking lots.

High Roller Bag

The High Roller is our most functional, versatile and feature-rich snowboard bag. It's the one you want by your side for extended trips and unpredictable conditions. Two removable interior pockets keep your boots and outerwear organized and secure until you're ready to remove the bags and take them with you. It is made thicker than the Low Roller and includes a few more pockets, allowing you to really carry everything for longer trips!

DAKINE MITTENS

Dakine offers an impressive variety of snowboard mittens. We will not take a tour of all the models available at Homies, but we will quickly present to you three models that well represent the mittens available from us.

Nova / Tahoe Mitt

The Nova mitt (and the Tahoe for the female equivalent) is the least expensive Dakine mitt at Homies. It's a more than interesting quality/price ratio, since for 65 dollars, the Nova offers a water-repellent shell, quality insulation, and a DK Dry waterproof membrane.TM and a water-repellent leather palm for greater durability. It's the perfect mitten for every day of the year.

Baron Gore-Tex Mitt

The Baron Mitt is one of our favorites at Homies. It has everything you can have in a mitten: a full GORE-TEX membrane, Gore Grip technology to maintain dexterity and resist all conditions, then Primaloft insulationR and an internal merino wool lining to keep your hands warm and dry. This is one of the most complete mittens for us.
